Measuring: A new (un-stretched) chain is 4 links to an inch. If you need a 25 inch chain, that would be 100 links. A worn or stretched chain will not measure accurately on a ruler. Count the links to assure your new chain will fit properly. If you have a continuous chain (no master link), remember that your new chain will have a master link, and subtract one accordingly.
